Welcome to the Glenn House Restoration. I’m Britton, and on January 20, 2017, my family and I purchased the Glenn House, located in the Historic Inman Park Neighborhood of Atlanta.

The Glenn House was built in 1890 for Reverend Wilbur Fisk Glenn, an Emory alumnus and Methodist minister. Located in Atlanta’s first planned suburb and streetcar neighborhood, the Glenn House was a magnificent Queen Anne Victorian, boasting a tower porch and decorative millwork throughout.

During the twentieth century, historic elements were removed and replaced with various architectural styles and design. Today, the Glenn House looks very different from its appearance in the 1895 photograph above.

The Glenn House today

This is where our adventure begins. We are restoring the Glenn House back to its former place as one of Edgewood Avenue’s original “Grand Dames.” We are grateful for this opportunity to restore one of Inman Park’s most notable homes, as well as advance and support historic preservation within Atlanta. I invite you to subscribe to my weekly blog at the bottom of the page for project updates, our restoration plan, exciting discoveries, and photos of each phase of the project.

Stay tuned!
