We’re MOOO-ving into the New Year!
Snapped a picture of this sweet guy after shopping for architectural salvage in Greensboro, Georgia. Just north of Greensboro isΒ The Farm, a dairy farm in Watkinsville that sells fresh milk daily and local veggies during the spring and summer. Finding architectural pieces is an important part of this project. Over time, many historic features were removed from the interior. We have been traveling near and far looking for pocket doors, newel posts, old wavy glass, four-panel doors, stair parts and more. I’m looking forward to sharing some pictures and history of our finds in the new year.
Restoring and renovating the Glenn House has been a journey. It’s been one of the most rewarding experiences and has brought us many wonderful opportunities and new discoveries. In early 2018, we will begin the restoration of the front porch, restoration and renovation of the interior, and begin work on the new kitchen and master bedroom. Next week, I will be sharing our journey of reconstructing the tower and updating the website with new pictures and history.
Thank you for following along as we bring the Glenn House back to life. Cheers to the end of 2017 and hello to 2018!
Happy New Year!Β π
