For several months now, I have been sharing photos of the house, connecting with fellow old home enthusiasts, and inspiring my creative side on the Glenn House Instagram account. When I first created the account, I was contemplating what this project meant to me and what purpose Instagram would serve. You can imagine my surprise when the National Trust for Historic Preservation contacted me about the Glenn House Instagram and asked me that same question: Why did you create an account documenting your renovation? If you don’t already know, I live and breathe old things. My twenty-four year old self is beyond grateful to be included in this article featuring our Instagram, five other historic home renovators, and what makes these places so special to us.
